I want to thank you for your compassion and grace during this period of incredible anxiety and grief. Because of those of you who stepped up to pay it forward, the City was yesterday able to contribute over $10,000 in matched funds for area Covid-19 relief efforts as well as an enormous amount of canned goods and other foods to help those impacted by financial hardship due to the pandemic.
Through our long-standing partnership with the regional chapter of the United Way, all of the money and food will go directly to those who are most in need in local communities. Clearly, last week’s drive showed the indomitable spirit of employees in the face of adversity as well as a true First in Service attitude.
Thank you to all who gave in one way or another to our first Yes We CAN drive and to those of you who pledged donations during our Fall Campaign for 2020. Your contributions have never been so needed and so appreciated! Your generosity is humbling. ~ Paul Eubanks
